Very dark ruby in color showing no bricking or age to sight, medium to full bodied. A nose of rose petals was very evident, along with raspberry, plum, iron, and sage. Flavors of rich fruit came quick before the drying tannins. I got a nice dose of rich red berries, red currants, flowers, herbs, and dusty earth. No oak whatsoever. This wine drank much better than WS suggests (84pts) and frankly found my Tasting experience nothing like theirs. I would however drink this up over the next 2 years as I do not see it improving or the fruit outliving the tannins. Score 89-90pts. | | | |
