| We opened our 1st bottle this evening (Kevin brought it over the hill, so no travel shock). Bottom line - delicious.
This wine has good fruit flavors - but without being jammy. (This is to a certain extent a style thing, but this is the way I prefer it. Somewhat a cross between CA and Burgundy). Classic red fruit taste with a nice cherry in the mid-palate. Nice long finish and a good acid component which helped the wine to go well with several different foods.
The wine was enjoyable from the outset, getting better as the evening went on (although the last sip came too quickly). This is definitely enjoyable now but has the stuffing to last for a while.
Congrats to Kevin (and thanks to Adam for letting the cat out of the bag).

I know what you mean David....but I'm contemplating opening one tonight. I was one of the few who got a double order.....so I can afford to pop one early. :-)

| Sorry Tim, by the time you posted, it had already been consumed. I will agree it was very good, but still needs some cellar time. I won't open another for 6 months or so.

I requested it on the order form. I hear that only 7 people ordered an additional 3-pack, so they accomodated us by dipping into their library.

| I also got an additional three pack - the request was on the order form. I don't know if this was unique to the folks that were intially on the waiting list and got bumped up? | | | |

| I wasn't ever on the waiting list, so it wasn't unique to that.

| I too requested additional bottles on the order form. Kept 4 and shared the love with a fellow VC'er on the other 2. I haven't had one yet, maybe soon. | | | |

| Bob, I'm taking a bottle of this to a Memphis offline tonight with BHVineyard, Stemor and Latour67. Can you give me an indication of how long to decant this beforehand? | | | |

| Thanks Bob, I'll let you guys know how it turns out. There will be around a dozen attendees tonight with primarily Pinots poured. I'll try to take some sort of notes but most of the time conversation prevails and I usually abandon the note taking at some point. | | | |

| We had this Friday night at WDoT's house. Thank you to WDoT for opening it. I pretty much agree with everything Paul posted. This wine is meant to be drunk young in my opinion. Grab your corkscrew! | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Yup.
Paul about covered it.
Nice enough wine, but a bit on the light side for my tastes. Good, enjoyable, but I like a Pinot with a lot more to it.
My guess is non-winos would love this wine. That isn't a bad thing, or a knock on the wine, but....
Mine will be gone by the end of the year.
