| I had this last week and didn't post a TN. I figure since Siduri has lots of fans here I should post something. So, this is just from memory...
Nose has good pinot funk mixed in with blackraspberries, wild cherries, and chocolate covered strawberries. This is the most light-bodied Siduri I've ever had, althought there are some noticable tannins. Not too light bodied but, given its higher alcohol content I wondered if water had to be added to this to bring the alcohol down a bit, thus making the wine a bit less intense and lighter. (Adam?) The flavors were wonderful and, while certainly not mistakable as a Burgundy, this was the most "Burgundian" Siduri I've had. Still had that earthy quality to it as well as lots of medium colored berries. Good delineation. Long finish. Overall, I would say this is a very good wine, although not excellent. I would have preffered slightly more intense flavor, but this was a great food wine. 91.5

| No H20 added. Generally I think the 03 SRH Pinots are a better balanced group of wines than the previous vintages there (though, given the young vine age of so many vineyards that is a bit of a generalization). They aren't as big as the 01s. I figure thta is what you are getting from the wine.

| Thanks. I have not opened mine yet. Should I drink now or wait awhile? I only have a couple. | | | |

| I think Adam might be able to answer that better than I but I enjoyed my bottle very much. I suspect this might improve a little in the near term (say over the next year and a half to two years) but I don't think this is the type of wine you have to stash deep in your cellar.

Ah, a nice pinot that needed 30-40 mins to open up. This one is not going to blow you away, but lovely it is. I agree with whiner that this does not need much cellar time. WS rating of 92 points.
Tonight, 90 points & drink or hold. Really, give it 30-40 & don't think twice about it. | | | |
