Wild, rampant legs were drooling everywhere. High alcohol content (17.2%) very noticeable on the nose and unlike the 2000 Jackass and G&L zins, was very prevalent in the mouth. Strawberry, cherry, cotton candy and anise with the alcohol gave this a very liquer type quality. An extreme amount of residual sugar on the tail end of this which kind of reminded me of some grenaches. This wine is not for the faint of heart. I think a few months of bottle time will be beneficial.

mountainman: TNs are a little confusing. Do you recommend as I am thinking about placing an order.

Indeed, like LCC, I wonder - did you like it? How would you compare to G&L in terms of quality? Rating?

TIA

I am a big fan of Martinelli zins. For $25, this is a huge wine and definitely would recommend if you like the Martinelli style.

Eric, I prefer the G&L right now as the Evo is like a wild tiger that hopefully will get a little tamed with some bottle time.

Thanks mm, looks like I'll need to pick some of this up and give it a try.

Ah, who wants a tame tiger?
