Well if I remember right ole JL didn't think to much of this, rating it in the 85 to 87 range I think, so I thought it'd probably be pretty good stuff....uh, not for 50 bucks, thankfully only once. I actually can't remember what I paid, but it was at least $40

. From Riedel Bordeaux Sommelier, medium dark red in color, not much for legs. On the nose it's a sweet red rasberry over vanilla oak, with some banana, coconut, and maybe some pineapple thrown in...no $h&#.
Might just call it a little Hawaiian Tropic on the nose which I gotta admit is at least interesting for a red wine. Red screwy fruits and some greens on the somewhat sour palate that is fully medium bodied, moderately tannic, with a medium finish. Kinda all around weird, but not bad, but not really too good either...Not for food, especially NY Strip. 85 points, QPR=ZERO. Drink...no, send it to auction...
