Yes. I think that was the winery price.

Not bad. I've found it in Chicago and Texas for $49 - below winery price. BTW, you can still call Pride and get some at $52 IIRC.

well. I cracked one last night. poured 2 glasses directly out of the bottle and then threw the rest into the decanter.... at first if was a little freakish as it was a little cool coming out of the cellar and it was constricting the fruit..

when it got going... boom. felt like i was drinking a chocolate brownie infused with some kick ass grape jelly. it was pretty awesome. most concentrated merlot i have ever had (which isn't saying too much). as it was still going strong and loosening up 3 hours in i will probably wait on my 2nd one for a while. I might have to find some more....

I've been lucky enough to have had a few bottles of this and it's just a fabulous wine that has shown well every time. I guess it could get better but I really don't see how. Great stuff.

Tasted at my 45th birthday party on February 19th, 2005.

This wine was decanted for one hour prior to leaving the house, then poured back into the bottle for serving during the trip in the limo.

This wine is still drinking very well, with no sign of closing down yet. Absolutely knock out nose of blueberry, coffee, milk chocolate and vanilla oak on the nose. The palate followed through with prominent coffee notes, especially towards the finish. Medium bodied. I think the last time I had this was in October, and it is still drinking very well. Hedonistic, I doubt my last two bottles will last for a year. I want to catch this one while the fruit is upfront. As I think I may have said before, less structure for aging than the 2001, but very enjoyable now. This was a great way to begin the evening.

Wow. What a wine. Drinking superb after 3 hours in the decanter. My wife is a pride and merlot fanatic, so this seemed like a good choice tonight. Brown sugar, chocolate, coffee, chocolate, cherries all conspire to make this wine over the top... yet somehow it isn't. This is an awesome, hedonistic wine that is fantastic now yet will reward another 6-12 months of cellaring. This is an event waiting to happen. 92+

Absolutely. Awesome now, I think it is reaching for a higher level of greatness. Drink your 03s first.
