| Having had this CRUSHER Zinfandel at a tasting a few months back, I waited for its arrival with much anticipation. During my extended wait, two red flags were raised, one of the reasons for the delay of its arrival was because of "bottling", now please note that at the tasting I was advised that the wine was already bottled and now I'm finding out that it may have been a barrel sampling (red flag #1), shortly before its arrival I was advised that the price was lower than initially quoted (red flag #2). So the day finally came when it arrived and logic dictated that a bottle should be sampled. Have you ever swished Listerine for a good 60 seconds? Yeah, you know that burn I'm talking about? You get that burn immediately, followed by what I can best describe as sucking on a sour Louden's cough drop dipped in vinegar champagne and a slight hint of Liquid Wrench. A slight shake of the bottle produced a 2+ inch head. Another sample bottle was pulled from a totally different case of wine. The results were consistant with the first with the exception of the hint of Liquid Wrench was replaced by just more burning sensations. Second refermentation? Possibly. Something seriously wrong? Definitely. Disappointed? Absolutely. It is with a heavy heart that I gotta say...Please exercise extreme caution if/when contemplating a purchase of this. | | |

| TJ-No, I bought five cases for the store (and had ALOT more on hold with my distributor). This Zin knocked my socks off at the tasting, big, fat, jammy and spicy, 16+ alcohol you couldnt feel, almost Turley-like....but now...dont know what happened in the months between then and now....but it aint all good... | | | |

| Yeah JimmyV - My '52 Chevy Pickup needs a squirt or two to the carburetor to get moving. Perhaps this would be a good recyclable use for the vintage. | | | |

| You'd think they wouldn't release it if it was that bad. So what happened? When they did the acidity adjustment, the whole truck fell into the barrells? | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Lilac: I know what you mean. Sometimes my carberator needs a squirt or two to get going, and I'm only a 1962 model!! | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| Dont know what happened, but it had to happen after bottling, I cannot see anyone tasting this and saying "yeah, cool, lets bottle it....."
Seriously, this stuff can remove barncales..... | | | |
