| From the NJ Poker Night 3/14/04.
'01 Jacob Franklin Petite Sirah Hayne Vineyard - 88 pts. This wine showed better when I last tasted it. Maybe a dumb phase. Still chunky, and tannic. Lots of blackberry fruit with some chocolate and drying tannins. Good length. Needs cellaring.
This wine was much bigger and more complex when I tasted it at the winery last March. My last bottle of this will be hidden away in the back of the cellar for a number of years.
