| Yeah, this is going to be expensive.
Excuse the OT rant but, last fall, I couldn't get a 4-barrel from Dan and Michael but I was able to buy one today at the freaking Wine Club in SJ. We could have all saved a little money if they would sell it to me directly...

I would bet that was not wholesaled out to them.
In regards to the KB mailer, I may need an extra job.

| I asked the cashier where they got it. He said Kosta Browne came down to some wine event sponsered by the Wine Club and that they were able to get a selection of bottles from the winery directly.
All things considered, it's not a bad deal. I paid $150 for it. Looking at the wine auctions on line it appears to go for $200+ on most sites. ('05 4-Barrel).

| | I passed on both mailers last year and they said since I didn't buy any, I am not guaranteed any wines, but I can make a wish list if I choose. I'll pass this time as well. | | | |

| I'll be in for lots of pinot, and some syrah, but I'll pass on the rose. I spent (with shipping) $25 a bottle on the 06 rose. It was a major disappointment. | | | |

I agree the 06 Rose was not good.....way too hot for me. Fortunately we'll get a chance to try the 07 Rose at the Freeman dinner on 2/9......so I'll know in advance if I should purchase this year or not.Â
If you need a replacement for the Rose, then you might see if Shane Wines has any left (Rose of Syrah). His Rose is the best I've ever had, and I think he may still have some, as I'm getting all the ones I ordered (18 bottles).

| I'll probably take my entire allocation. Is this for the appellation wines or the SVDs? What's the word on the street? any tasting notes? | | | |

This is for the appellation wines. Look for some tasting notes to start showing up on 2/10.

| Posted By Budman on 01/24/2008 2:52 PM Thanks, Chris. Your notes will be greatly appreciated. I'm not the best with notes.....mine consist mostly of "yummy" and "freaking awesome".....but there are a bunch of people tasting through the KB wines on 2/9 and 2/10, and some of those are quite good with notes.
I know...I need to learn to start taking notes.
BTW...one of the KB interns posted in the KB thread on EPantLoad that the Sonoma Coast was the one to watch for this year!

Is that the one with the last grapes they are going to get from the Miron Vyd? | | | |

| | I'll be taking my full allocaiton of the PN, Syrah, and Rose. I thought the 06 rose was good, but the 05 was a notch or two better. | | | |

| | Does anyone know if the allocations are supposed to be similar to last year, or can we expect more? Last year it looks like I was offered 2 each of the Pinots, Syrah, and Rose and was able to get one more of each of the Pinots. | | | |

| After the Fall allocations, I wouldn't want to even hazard a guess. I wonder if I'll get another 54 bottle allocation!!!!! | | | |
