Got the same allocation as Dave.
I guess only ordering 50 of the 54 got me moved to the seconf tier.... dammit. | | | |

I asked the cashier where they got it. He said Kosta Browne came down to some wine event sponsered by the Wine Club and that they were able to get a selection of bottles from the winery directly.
All things considered, it's not a bad deal. I paid $150 for it. Looking at the wine auctions on line it appears to go for $200+ on most sites. ('05 4-Barrel).
Hey guys:
I feel like a freshman walking into my first frat party. My first post! I do need to chime in here, however. I would be a little suspect on this one. We ONLY offer this wine to our List of Designate members. Further, to the best of my knowledge, we have never offered any wine to the Wine Club, let alone 4BB. Nothing against Wine Club, but this just doesn't sound right. Very simply put, this wine would HAVE had to have come from a List of Designates member. I may be making too big of a thing here (i.e. maybe the cashier was at the end of a Telephone game), but I would like to hear the full story. Sidebar: thanks for everyone's support. As my 2 year old would say "ttfn!"

By the way, allocations for the spring release are based on your spring purchase from last year. The fall release (single vineyards) is an independent release, based on purchases from last year's fall release. The two are separate Also, in the fall, we release quite a few more wines, bringing your total up a bit more. Once again, thanks for the support. | For the first time I did not take all of the wines in my allocation. These will be very good wines but our cellar is very full of KBs and Cali Pinot. We aren't into Cali Syrahs these days. Hopefully someone else will enjoy them. 
The pricing is on the edge of the envelope for appellation wines. $48pb + tax + shipping = high $50s in the door.
