I guess I should say that KL has not been able to replace my bottle of Yquem yet.

When do I start worrying.

K&L fought the good fight with some other retailers and a retail association and shipping resumed.

This was a very good thing for my champagne hoard.

So as if the site wasn't good enough before, K&L just completed a facelift! Seems like all the functionality we love is still there, but it looks a bit more "contemporary". I haven't done a lot of exploring to see the new functionality, if any, but kudos to K&L for keeping on top of things!

They lost some functionality such as sorting by different items when searching categories but are still working on it. Visually the site looks very clean.

I too love K & L. Great pricing that retail in the midwest can't match...bought a case of 2003 Mondavi Oakville Cab* from them based purely on their price and the real-time, online inventory which reassured me I would receive my order in a timely fashion (at the time 2003 Mondavi Oakville Cab was $10.00+ more per bottle in the local market).

Also turned my parents onto their website - now they're members of the K & L wine club and have been quite happy with all of the wines they have received.

Anyways, I will continue to shop at K & L and even more so now after reading all of the good things others have to say about their business.

*I know, but I like Mondavi...at least in certain years, and the 2003 Oakville Cab is great. Maybe not RP 93, but definitely 90-92 last time I cracked one open.

I got an email from them a couple days advertising 2000 Bordeaux. Is the 2000 Latour really going for $1300 like at K&L??

That's not too out of line.  I received an email from another CA retailer a week ago looking to buy 2000 Bordeaux.  Here's their retail pricing, and what they're offering for some of the wines.  Makes those Costco purchases from a few years ago look real good ...

Bumping up for the new year - K&L is still a good retailer in my book. They seem to do most things very right and their real-time inventory is a major plus. I never worry about receiving a UPS/FEDEX tracking number from them because it is in my account information as soon as they process the order.

Kudos.
