| I saw these today at the wine store. They are stacked in the aisles because they just came in. If you can't find these locally these are both really good and the store will ship to you in a "shipping friendly" state.
St. Cosme Gigondas 2000 - $18
RWP 90-92; IWC 89; This is a great Gigondas and very age-worthy. I have in both 750 and mags.
Domaine de Cabase Gigondas 2000 - $16
RWP 94; I haven't tasted but at this price point and only 1000 cases imported the high score made it worth a purchase.
Call Gabe Martinez at Spec's downtown toll-free (888) 526-8787.

| I'll second the vote for the St. Cosme. I have several bottles of this, as well as some of the 99. Just a wonderful rhone wine.
I didn't think Spec's would ship out of state. I remember asking them if they would the last time I was down there and they told me they couldn't.

| | Jules - Spec's can ship to some states. Recently they added GA to their list as DdB found out so it's worth it to call. | | | |

| Domaine de Cabase Gigondas 2000 - I cant find this wine in RP's database or past issues. Is it correct??
Thanks, I just dont remember a recent Gigondas with a score as high as 94 by RP (maybe 91-94, etc).

| | sfrye - I'll check that one again on this week's trip. My writing was fairly poor on the scrap of paper that I jotted it down on. Sorry! | | | |

| OK, I think I found the answer:
WS gave the 99 Cabasse Gigondas a 94 (I dont think RP has ever reviewed it).
Problem is, they (WS) gave the 00 an 84. Doesnt mean that much to me as I think that the Spectator's Rhone reviews are little better than a monkey throwing darts at scores.

| Uh oh - that must have been a wacky shelf talker then. Spec's is normally very good at getting the info right.
Agree with you on some WS ratings - I'll pop a bottle of this and let you know what I think. They are just bringing out the 2000 Rhones in this store.
