Hmmm...not quite sure what happened. I created a post when I was all excited about my recent purchase of a new Haier 42-bottle cellar for my place here in Boston, and it didn't show up on the boards.

Now, the wind has subsided from my sails and I don't have the energy to re-write the whole thing over again.

Anyway, the gist of the post was that I got the unit from Amazon w/ free shipping to my door. A fairly substantial savings, I'd say, considering the thing weighs almost 100 lbs.

My self-justification was that I needed a cellar here in Boston because I'm accumulating some decent wines and I was to ensure proper storage so as not to "lose" anything from them. Given all the recent discussion on this forum about proper storage conditions, I've become a bit nervous.

So, it's supposed to be here by the end of the month. Hopefully I don't have the glasses problem with the cellar.

I was looking at that cellar. Let me know what you think of it please. How's the capacity.

Congrats Mdriver! It is a nice cellar. I had one of the a couple of years ago. It looked nice and had good temperature control. Unfortunately I blew through its capacity and it now resides with a friend.

Well, after today...it's almost full.

I've got about 15 bottles at home in the cabinet that need to go in there and another 20 or so on the way.

I swear this is a disease. I'm not going to eat for a month.

Congrats m-driver....I'm sure the thing will be full in no time. My cellar is full yet I can't seem to even slow down my buying. I just crammed in my 2000 CdP and I'm still waiting on all of my 2000 Bordeaux and 2001 Germans. We need to start having more tastings otherwise I'll have to sacrifice a bedroom to make room!

I'm certain more tastings could be arranged. I'm always ready for the gems you pull out of the cellar.

I bought this same cellar at Sams club two years ago to store my Viognier in next to the bar in my patio. I really have had no complaints, and it keeps temp very consistant.
