An FYI for all of the white burg fans out there - I noticed some of the 2002s from Verget starting to hit the market. Spec's (our local big wine store) receives a great selection of Verget wines.

The wine writer for the Houston Chronicle tasted through some of the Macon wines plus some Chablis. His article plus reviews areVerget Macon Wines . The good news on these wines is price - below $20 in most cases.

Today I purchased the 2002 Macon-Village Les Vaillons de Lamartine, the 2002 Saint-Veran Terroir de Devaiye and the 2002 Chablis Premier Cru Vaillons (IWC score 90-93 at $33).
