Just got the mailer yesterday and placed our order.
We were at the winery in Oct. and barrel tasted tons of wine, but one of the best wines of our entire week long trip was the Novy Carlisle Zin- which is being released for $30 a bottle! A big, fruit bomb of a Zin, reminded me a bit of Martinelli or Turley with all the fruit but not the portiness you sometimes get with the Big Zins. We collect Zins, and this one knocked our socks off! If you get their mailer- don't miss this wine!

Be sure to get some of the 01 Cargasacchi Pinot also offered on the current mailer. It's a MONSTER!!! Peter Cargasacchi's vineyard is in the Santa Rita Hills AVA - just across the river from Sanford's La Rinconada and Sanford and Benedict vineyards. Peter's soil is amazing - it creates incredible acid levels -- which gives winemakers the option of letting the fruit hang longer... which hopefully leads to better flavors. There's usually a trade off between acid levels and ripeness - but not with this vineyard. Adam is super excited about this new vineyard... and I'll hopefully be getting some fruit from Peter in 2003.

LCC, I'd recommend ordering the three 1/2 bottle PN sampler. A great and affordable way to try all of Brian's PN's. I loved the Gary's Vineyard and went back for more.

Hey Folks,
Thanks for the kind words and the support! I wasn't even aware that this forum existed (is there some sort of new forum forum that I should belong to?).
In any case, I'm delighted to discover it and will be by often.

Cheers,

Adam Lee

Adam, Brian, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you here.

Brian, we tasted your 2000 and 2001 Clos Pepe side by side last night, along with Wes' 2000 Vigneron select. I gotta say, your 2001 absolutely rocks!. Plenty of decanting time, it is, in my humble estimation, your best Pinot yet.

Welcome to Adam and Brian,

I just received Brian's mailer and am getting ready to send in an order for all I can afford. I love the 2000 Gary's and I'm sure the 2001's are going to be good stuff too.

I will definitely sign up for Adam's wines as well. I've heard some great things about them from the fellow forumites.

I'm sure we will all appreciate your input from the industry side of the wine world and I look forward to your future posts.
