| Just saw the 01 Grace Family in a wine shop near my office, a mere $300. First of the really big boys I've seen from the vintage. A little beyond my wine budget.... | | |

| I have tasted it twice in the last month. Its great wine. SFWTC has it for $259. A review of the 2001 Grace will be in the next Oeno-File. | | | |

| It had better be great for $300. Assuming Premier Cru is ever going to deliver their pre-arrivals, you could buy a 2000 Las Cases and 2000 Lynch Bages for less than the Grace. I know where I'd rather spend my money. | | | |

| Look around - I've seen emails for this wine for around $175-200. Grace's cache seems to be falling even if the 01 might be their best ever. | | | |

| I don't know if it is my imagination, but I've seen more cult wines available for sale at stores. I didn't know what some of these bottles looked like until this year (except thru glossy WS pictures). When I was in Sun Valley earlier this year, I found Harlan's in 3 stores (all stored poorly BTW). | | | |

| It's not your imagination, GATC. I've seen many of these bottlings around town where, a couple short years ago, they were only in WS!
2000 Vineyard 29 and the 1998 Shafer Hillside Select currently at Gary's Wine & Marketplace in Madison, 1998 and 2000 Bryant Family wines at Wine Library are prime examples. It may have something to do with the fact that they are about $100 over current auction prices and/or from "off" vintages. | | | |
