| Our initial release of the 2006 Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir has been so well received that we want to thank you for your interest and encouragement.
REVIEWS
We have been honored by recent reviews that we would like to share:

"NEW FACES IN CALIFORNIA PINOT," WINE SPECTATOR –
Sept. 30, 2008 issue
"We've tasted more California Pinot Noirs this year than ever before....We've sifted through the newcomers to profile some of the most promising....One thing is clear about the producuers in this group - they have a lot of previous wine experience."
90 PTS FROM THE WINE SPECTATOR – July 31, 2008
"Has a streak of wildness, with lots of spice, dried blueberry and currant aromas that are rich and focused, picking up complex herb, tea, and orange zest, ending with a pretty perfumed edge. Gains body on the finish. Drink now through 2012. 143 cases made. --J.L."
The New Cults, San Francisco Chronicle – May 30, 2008
"Keefer Ranch...a primo match up of Pinot terroir and talent."
from "10 Wineries to Watch" sidebar to article. "These 10 wineries all have a dedicated following and the right combination of factors to catapult to cult status. Keefer Ranch: ...a primo match up of Pinot terroir and talent."
PinotFile, Vol 6/62 – July 19, 2008
"Light reddish-purple in color. The nose offers fresh savory herbs with red berries and cherries. Delicious delicate red fruits that are sweetly spiced and elegantly presented. Soft and silky like red lingerie. A delight to drink. Naomi Campbell on a Victoria Secret runway." - Prince of Pinot.

UNLIMITED ORDERING Many of you asked for additional wine so we are now offering unlimited ordering as supplies last. To order more, please use our order form or call us at the Ranch at (707) 829-5950. Due to the hot weather, all shipments will be held until October unless othewise arranged by you.
HARVEST & BOTTLING
Harvest for this year will soon be upon us, and although we always think we have it organized — suddenly it happens! The 2008 vintage has been "a work in progress" so we wait to see how it plays out.
August marks the end of the winemaking process for our '07 Pinot as we bottle the wine this week. We are very excited about this vintage, which will be released in early spring, 2009.
JOIN US
We hope to see you at Pinot on the River, October 26, in the Russian River Valley.
Thank you again for your interest,
~ Marcy Keefer, Craig and Julie Strehlow

No problem. Do you have any Burgundy to trade? | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone.

Ditto. Except that I would say "I have too much 2006 Pinot" instead of "I have too much Pinot". Have to start saving money and room for 2007 wines. | | | Beta testing a new signature.

That's funny because I have not opened a single 2006 pinot since the Freeman Cave dinner in February. Evey single '06 I tasted there seemed way off for consumption.

| I have only opened two 2006s, both of them Lorings, as he seems so convinced that grabbing them early is a good idea. That said, there is certainly no crime in popping a 2006 now to test whether you want to buy more of a wine. In fact, that is the most logical approach, IMHO. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| After reading favorable reviews from VC folks, I tried contacting them to see if they still have wine available. I sent a couple of EMails, no reply. The wine may be good, but Cust Service I am not sure about?!? I may try calling them ... or not. | | | |

| They are a VERY small operation, and your hitting right in the heart of harvest - I think you can cut them a little slack | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

| This is one of the better domestic Pinots I have had in a while. A wine like Windy Oaks Wild Yeast, Brogan and Macphail that I can actually get excited about.

| I will try to order online, I still have the web site. May be, I will have more luck ordering it directly on-line if still available. | | | |
