After, what?  I guess about 5-6 years, I finally made the Rochioli list.  Now the question is, do I buy or not?  My allocation:

(6) 2006 River Block Chardonnay
(6) 2006 Estate Chardonnay

I'd buy, even if you need to drop a different producer. That's just me.

I agree. Think back over the past 5-6 years and consider all of the wineries you signed up with simply because you weren't on all of the lists that your really wanted to be on.  Somewhere in that group there has to be one that can take the fall for Rochioli if you need to do a one-for-one trade.

Beta testing a new signature.

River Block was $55, Estate $35. The estate is o.k. (I've had two bottles so far), but get ready for some oak. I noticed with the 05 river block that it REALLY needed some time to let the oak integrate - ask Joe on that one - but a bottle I had recently was much, much, much better. They do track your estate purchases, so know that it does matter if you buy.

As far as the list goes, you're down the road from them, so shipping is free. The pinots are out of this world, year in, year out. Their sauv blanc is fantastic, as well. Plus, the customer service is ridiculously good, and I can't tell you how many times I've asked for special requests. Worst case scenario, they flip well. Reminds me of my favorite KGO ad "It's the biggest no brainer in the history of the world!" The only negative I've had is their shipper (New Vine) insists on shipping out on Thursday afternoons, so the orders sit over the weekend.

I buy as much as I can afford with every mailer. The best bottle of Pinot I've ever had was the 2002 Little Hill.....but like Drew said, they track your purchase history, so if you want the Pinot, you need to at least snag some Chard. They are not over oaked to me.....I really like their Chards.....you just have to let them sit for a couple years. I'm drinking the 04 Chards now...and they are excellent!

Also, like Drew said, the Sauv Blanc is excellent....and you can buy it from the tasting room now (6 bottles per person). If you call them they'll let you buy it over the phone and hold it for you. They'll also register those purchases on your account if you ask them to.

Like these guys I let my Chards sit. They age nicely.

I received this mailer also. I hear what you guyz are saying, but I need more whites like another hole in the head. And, actually these days, I buy plenty of Pinots as well.

So, I am passing if any one wants it @ my cost & of course shipping to you.
