I really like some of the vineyard designate stuff that is offered in the fall.  Unfortunately, your fall allocation is based in part on how much spring wine you buy. (I think we have beaten this to death in another thread.)  I was kind of thinking of buying some of the RRV spring Pinot to get my fall allocation, but at $60/bottle that no longer seems like such a great idea.

I really like everything I have had of theirs. I am having an '04 Russian River syrah right now. Indeed, the pinot had kind of a rude price hike compared to the others on this go around. The Russian River chardonnay has always been worth the $. Since I have only experienced positive adjustments to my Fall allocations in the past, I'll probably do a mixed case.

My mistake, the pinot noir only went up $2 which means it was already expensive!

I have been buying this for several years but have cut back. The last 3 bottles we opened were hit or miss. Nothing in between. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? I am still buying but less

Jeff, I've had very few bad bottles.  That's what makes this so difficult.
