I signed up for their mailing list a few years ago (can't actually remember when).  I received an email from them the other day talking about how great their wines did at The Premier auction.  I responded basically with "congratulations, I've been on your wait list forever, when will I ever get an allocation?"...

Well, this morning I received an allocation.  Up to two 3packs at $405/3 pack and 1 Mag at $295.  I guess it's put up or shut up time.  I did a quick search here for any discussion regarding this specific wine and didn't find anything.

Does anyone have any thoughts on 2005 Hourglass?

Maybe I should send them the same email as well, I've been on the wait list for about 1-2 years. Sorry, I don't know anything else.

I have purchased a 3-pack every year for quite a while now. I really enjoy this particular wine, and it remains one of the few (perhaps only??) wine over $120 per that I still buy.  $135 is certainly the upper limit for me, but relative to where many other small production wines of like-quality have headed in price, $135 isn't too bad, in my opinion.  That said, one more price bump and I am probably out.  When I signed up, I was buying an $80-$85 wine.  If you bite, be prepared to pay $135-$175 per bottle over the next 5 years.

Beta testing a new signature.

The bump in '05 put me out of the market for this one. Trying to eliminate my $100+/bottle wine purchases.

I'm still buying this one. The wine is enjoyable year in and year out. That being said, I am not sure if I will continue for many more years because of trying to get rid of >$100 bottles in the buying queue.

The 2001 Hourglass was phenomenal. It never shut down, always performed just like silk.

I probably dropped off their list this year after missing two allocations. Although I love the wine, the price point squeezed me out but what really sealed the deal is that they don't ship to any states where I live or have friends...
