I received their mailer today. I bought last year, but haven't opened one up yet. Has anyone ever visited the winery? I just sent them an email to see if I can come taste before I buy.

It also appears that they are no longer sourcing fruit from Olivet Lane.

Salzgeber Vineyard PN $45
Balletto Vineyard PN $40
Oehlman Vineyard PN $37
Sonoma Coast PN $35
Russian River PN $35
Russian River Zinfandel $27

Had the Olivet Lane recently and it was truly lovely. In it's own right, as good as the DRC we had that night.
. I haven't opened any of the others either, but will put them up on the to-drink list before the mailer shows up here.

My favorite CA pinots. One of the most beautiful and distinctive nose out of Pinots I had. I have been impressed at 04 RRV and Balletto. Haven't opened 05 yet. I couldn't imagine how good Olivet Lane and Hellenthal would be. It's sad that there's no more Olivet Lane and Hellenthal. They are truly great people. I received a hand written Christmas card from them (one and only winery sending a Christmas Card). I will definitely buy again. Curious about Salzgeber Vineyard (I guess Skewis Pinot usedthe fruit from the vineyard).

I'm not on their list, but have loved their wines.

I buy big every year. The Appellation wines are always the best QPR Pinots I purchase. (Although Sandler at $30 including shipping may own that title now.)  If there is one thing you can say for sure, it's that these are not just the "same ol' California Pinots".  Very distinctive.  Sadly, Olivet has been my favorite.  I'll have to try some of the new ones to see if they fill the gap.

Beta testing a new signature.

I haven't decided yet, but as usual my allocation is a case of each and I will not be buying that much.  If any of the DC Crü want to piggyback, please let me know asap.

I got a response back from Denise, giving me additional tasting notes. However, there was no offer to come up

I had the 05 Oehlman the other night. It was quite good. I will be buying the Oehlman, not sure what else to fill out the order.
