| I've been working on finances, and was reviewing my purchases last year. I show Kistler on January 4th, Bressler on January 7th, Aubert on January 16th, August West on Jan 20th, Sloan on Jan 25th. Then coming shortly after, Saxum on February 2nd, Pride reserves on February 6th, Kosta Browne February 15th, Rhys on February 22nd. Then a nice break until Araujo on March 16, Herb Lamb March 18th, Alban March 28th. I can't look any farther, it is too depressing.
Is everyone ready?

| I wouldn't be surprised if Kistler mailed their letters today, with an email blast on Monday ... if that's true, there's a chance that I'll be buying 100% of my allocation on that, Quilceda Creek, and possibly Bressler Pinot & Cab all on the same day (ouch!).

| Here is the way that I've fixed that little problem: Â Quilceda Creek on Jan 14 (3 bottles) Aubert on January 16th (no Quarry and Reuling) Carlisle February 6 Rivers-Marie February 9 (will buy every bottle offered) Kosta Browne February 15th Rhys on February 22nd (no Alesia for me) Araujo on March 16 (only 3 bottle of Estate) Alban March 28th (will buy what's offered, but rumored to be very little)
It is not perfect, but it's much better than what I faced last year.
[Who am I kidding, edited to add Carlisle]

| Of the ones you mention, Randy, I only purchase Bressler, KB, & Rhys (may be). So, not that bad in my case.
Dave's list: only QC, & R-V.

| Realm didn't sell anything last year, so I guess they will need to catch up.
I'm expecting Kistler will announce tomorrow. Bob only knows when Bressler is releasing.
I'm buying all the kistler - most of that going to others. All the Bressler, all going to me. All the Aubert, some to auction some for me. No August West, and probably no Sloan unless I decide to flip it. All the Pride reserves, half to auction.
I really need to cancel all the email offers. I find myself ordering, because the price is great. Then at the end of the month looking through my CC bill, I'm thinking "When am I going to drink all this wine? Why do I keep buying it?" Then the next email offer comes out... and I forget all about that. Geesh, I need therapy.

Ditto, and ditto. 2005 Vintage Spring Release is absolutely *not* the time to short your Kistler order. | | Cheers, y'all

| | I am very curious as to how much Alban will offer. Been on the list for 5 years and it is one of my FAVORITES. | | | |

| I'm smacking my lips at the thought of Bressler...and since I'm not carrying 2 mortgages any more, I think I'll be able to afford my entire allocation!!! | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| | Bevan Cellars release just came out. $450 for a 3-pack. Has anyone here tasted these wines? Russ is very intense, I suspect he has produced an amazing wine. It is sad to me that $150/bottle is now a mid-tier price | | | |

| | I'm skipping Bevan and Neal. Also skipping Shane, just too much wine out there, I'm afraid when I taste it at the Freeman dinner I will love it. | | | |

| Randy, that is the first step! Cutting back is hard. I cut a lot of wineries in 2007 and life went on. At this point any further cuts come from muscle, not fat. Still, budget realities are budget realities. In 2008 I am committed to cutting (not never purchase again, but not in 2008) the following:  Bressler Colgin Karl Lawrence L'Aventure Maybach Saxum Wolf Family
I am also going to cut back significantly on purchases from Rhys, Carlisle and Varner
