| Quick Question, any one know of this retailer? Reliable? Storage conditions? No problems? Thanks! | | |

| I used them for the first time a few weeks ago. So far so good. Wine is pre-arrival.

| Dan (Joneswine) has spoken very highly of them in the past. I have not had the opportunity to use them yet myself. | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

| Edit to add: Simultaneous posts with Eric and Dan........ I think Dan uses them for more than just retail and is happy. I have made one pre-arival purchase from them, with the wine now delivered. Only problem I had was that when the wine arrived on their end it was still hot in CA. They notified me that they thought it best not to ship and would monitor the weather and ship when appropriate.  No problem with that. I agreed and left it up to them. A couple days later they sent another message stating that if I did not get the wine moved out of their storage area immediately, I would be charged a storage fee. A quick call revealed that the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing, and it was resolved that shipping would occur when they thought it most appropriate with no storage fee charged to me. They were polite and responsive. I would buy from them again. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

Do you get decent prices by selling through them? Do they only take consignments from storage customers? | | | Beta testing a new signature.

| They take consignments from theoretically anyone (although obviously just like an auction house they inquire re provenance etc.). I'm not a storage customer and have sold wines through them for years. Once you do start to sell through them then you tend to start buying from them too because if you sell for credit rather than cash then you will net a higher percentage. Prices realized are good. Less volatility compared to a regular auction house in my experience. | | | |

| Dan,
Have your sales been by consignment, or actually sales to Vinfolio? I thought that they did both, and have been considering selling off some wine to make room in the cellar.

| They no longer do consignment sales. All sales are to Vinfolio. | | | |

| I picked up some wine from them last week. They have plenty of storage space. Service was excellent. | | | |
