| Just received a warning email from Sea Smoke ...
2005 Southing Pinot Noir mag $100 2005 Chardonnay mag $100
List members, at the C1, C2 & C3 levels, will get an offering email for 1 mag of each soon (next few days ?), but the mags will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

| That seems like a good price for the Southing. | | | |

| I got a flurry of e-mails in the last 5 minutes. One set addressed to me as a C1 Member, and the other set as a C2 Member. Maybe I am on the cusp? Anyway, I ordered a Pinot mag. In this day and age of overpriced Mags, $100 seemed like a no brainer for a wine that sells for $49. I followed the link provided in the C1 e-mail to place my order. And as any good whore would have done, I followed the link in the C2 e-mail to see if perhaps I could squeeze out a second. No dice. If anyone wants my Chard mag, let me know. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| For such a well run operation their technology is pathetic. How many emails to get it right????
Bought mine, these are easy to re-sell if I don't want them, and they are very drinkable if I decide to keep them.

| Ordered the PN mag, but not the Chard. I don’t care much for their Chards. | | | |

| I also ordered the Pinot mag today, but not the Chard. At least there was still some left for us C3ers! Chris | | | |

| I'm a C5, or at least I was when the first offers went out this fall. Just got the magnum offer and ordered.
Odd to me that these wines are surviving to the lower tiers of allocations, but are commanding a healthy premium at auction.

| I just logged in and saw my offering and purchased a mag of Southing. Never got the email. I talked to the winery, and he mentioned that my email may have been gobbled up by Yahoo's spam filter Thanks to this Board for keeping me on my toes! | | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

That's good -- seems like good list management. They are spreading out their allocations so folks at all mailing list levels are getting a shot and probably drinking their wine. Folks not on the list have to buy from the secondary market and it's taking more $$ to pry it out of the owners hands. | | Randy Sloan Match Vineyards

| Just bought 2 more Chardonnay mags. They had a few left and have offered them via email to at least part of the mailing list.
By the way, I spoke with Katie at Sea Smoke, as I was curious about the '05 Pinot Noir mags now on winebid.com - 2 lots of 3 mags each. Sea Smoke does sell some mags to distributors, primarily for restaurants. Guess they're into flipping the wine, too.
She also said production of the '06 vintage was down about 20% from '05. They don't expect to be able to move anyone off of the waiting list and she wasn't sure what would happen with allocations for those on the list. I told her, as a C1, I was more than happy with this year's allocation, and I couldn't afford a larger one !
