I'm looking for a 375 or 750 bottle of a 97 Etude Cab.
I would rather buy/share with someone in SoCal than buy it via retailer using wine-searcher.
I've had the 02 Napa, and it was my very first "WOW" moment.
The "WOW" factor actually carried over to the next day, when I re-tasted the remainder.
I'm get the impression that the 97 is another one of these "WOW" types, but I'd like to try it first before stocking up.
Would be willing to travel up to Orange County to share/buy.
Thanks
I'm in San Diego.

The `97 is holding up very well when you place it alongside other `97 Napa Cabs.
My favorite Etude Cab from the last decade however is still the `01.... the `96 is drinking the best right now, however.
The `98 is also very good - and you should be able to find it at really good prices on auction.

Never tried the 01.
02 was a "WOW", and I backed the truck up on that one.
03 was ok, but definitely not a "WOW".
You in SoCal?
You bring 01, I'll bring 02, someone bring 97, and we'll have an awesome dinner!

Sadly, I'm not in SoCal. I'm up here in Napa... at Etude.
If you loved the `02 Napa Cab and thought that was a "WOW"... then I highly recommend finding a bottle or two of our `02 Rutherford Cab.
