I just received this email from Aubert:

Dear Friends,

Our Fall 2007 wine allocations will be sent to you both via e-mail and US mail on Monday, September 17, 2007. This release is exclusively Pinot Noir and features our 2005 Reuling Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and 2005 UV Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.

We appreciate and thank you for your interest in our wines.

Warmest regards,

Mark & Teresa Aubert

Does this mean I actually might be allocated some PN? Whooooohooooo!

I received this email as well, but didn't receive it last year. My guess is that we are in.

In my case, I got my first Pinot offering my second year of big Chardonnay purchases.  I think you are in if you got the email though.  I wonder if allocations will be up.  I was 4/2 last year.   I recall reading that Pinot and Chardonnay production will be equal at some point.

If it means anything, I purchased the Chard the past two years, the first year was a modest 6-pack. The second year was a less than modest 18-pack.

Purchasing the Chardonnays is definitely the key to Pinot allocations.  The good news is that I am happy to purchase the Chards.  If it were otherwise, it wouldn't be worth it just for the pinots.

This point was raised on eBob, check your spam filter in case the email was caught in there.
