| Posted By David Niederauer on 11/04/2007 1:52 AM Here I go again opening my big mouth .Â
I think that those of us who received the 54-bottle allocation should get together and throw a Kosta Browne Vertical Offline (KBVO). Between us we should be able to put together a pretty good selection verticals of the VD wines and what would be better than to share with those that get the smaller allocations or, for that fact, no allocation at all. All "we" need is someone to organize the event (i.e. take names). Tricia will kill me for saying this but if you want we can hold the event at my home. Ok, you asked. I talked with Michael and Dan about this yesterday. They would love to see your cellar David!!!
The best time for them is the first two weeks of March. I am proposing either Saturday March 1st or 8th. Let me know which one works for you David!
Once we have a date I'll start a signup list (and a new thread). You need to tell me how many you wish to limit it to!

| If I hear of a KB offline, I'll let you know. Last time Joe (WIML) was in town, we popped a 4-Barrell. I could bring one next time. | | | |

| OK! Time to get serious!
The first two weeks in March don't work at all for me. Saturday 3/1 is La Paulée de San Francisco and the second weekend is World of Pinot Noir. I'm pretty sure Dan and Michael will be at WOPN too.
March 14, 15, 16 is ok.
March 23 is Easter Sunday.
March 27, 28, 29, 30 is Pebble Beach Food and Wine.
Chris, Will you please contact Dan and Michael to see if 14, 15, or 16 is ok or do we need to look at another month.

| Thanks for the info on the allocation notifications. I think it will make everyone (especially me) happier. I'm really looking forward to finally making it on the SVD list!     -Dave-  | | | |

| Ok David, they can both make it on Friday, March 14th! Let me know what time we should start this event. I think I better get a room that night!
We should start another thread in the events section and get a sign-up list going. You also better figure how what number to cap at....I have a feeling this will be a popular off-line!

| Hrmmmm I'm supposed to be back in the BA on 3/27. Wonder if I can move it up two weeks :-D
Chris, are you seriously considering organizing a barrel tasting on 2/10? Would be great to know sooner, rather than later, as I'd consider taking the last flight out on Sunday or the Monday eye-opener special. Nothing like rolling into work half-asleep and smelling of wine!!!

Yes, I have already talked to Michael, Dan and Shane about it. They are bottling right around that time, so they can't commit yet, but I'm feeling pretty good about making it happen. I'd say the odds are better than 50/50. I'd hate to see you change the flight and find out they are bottling that day though.
