This will probably be an entertaining post for most of you, but I'm hoping someone may entertain the idea.

I'm seeking someone to share their allocation.  I'll buy at release price cost, plus shipping.  I'm not looking to line anyone's pockets, but just to try this wine, which is near impossible to get.

I've tasted an 03 KB Kanzler at a tasting.  One bottle was shared amongst 13 or so attendees.  Everyone was very respectful of the offering.  I have not made up my mind, whether or not KB is for me, or is my style.

Compared to an 02 Marcassin Blue Slide Ridge, which was also generously shared that evening, it was much higher regarded than the KB.  Perhaps the 03 was not a strong year for the KB.  I'm not sure, but I want to give the KB a fair shot, before I quit out of frustration.

So, if there is someone that is willing to share, that'd be real swell.  Prefer local, and that way, we could share it together over dinner if you like.  I'll still pay for the bottle.Â

Thanks

Since you don't want to pay the fair market value, and your chances of someone taking you up are slim to none, I suggest you get together with some other winos and share the cost and drink the bottle over dinner.

Jmch, this is a fun site.  You might want to stop by from time-to-time when you aren't seeking to share an allocation or buy a wine.Â

Same as my allocation......54 bottles.  Odd that this is the same number of bottles I was allocated in the Spring. Â

I'll be taking it all and likely asking for extras....particularly for the 4-Barrel.

No 4-Barrell, Keefer, or Miron for me. 2 each of the Kanzler and Koplen and 1 for each of the others. 8 bottles total.

2 x Keefer

Happy with this, and will be asking for more

Oh, and for the record - $62 per bottle, across the board.

My allocation as a "wish list " customer:

description quantity unit price subtotal
05PNKO750 2005 Pinot Noir - Koplen Vineyard (750mL) 12 « pending wish list item
05PNAR750 2005 Pinot Noir - Amber Ridge Vineyard (750mL) 12 « pending wish list item
05PNGA750 2005 Pinot Noir - Garys' Vineyard (750mL) 12 « pending wish list item
05PNRO750 2005 Pinot Noir - Rosella's Vineyard (750mL) 12 « pending wish list item
05PNKA750 2005 Pinot Noir - Kanzler Vinyeard (750mL) 12 « pending wish list item
Subtotal $.00
Shipping $.00
Sales Tax (% - including ) $.00

My cost is certainly good. Can't even "wish" for the 4 barrel, Keefer, or Miron. If they give me just one wish, I think it will be to trade places on the list with Scott!

I got the LOD 54 bottle allocation also.

At the 03 vintage price of $48, I probably would have bought all. $62 each is a lot tougher.
I settled for an order of 30 bottles (plus a wishlist request for 2 4-Barrels, one for Crafty and one for LouBriccant).
My bank is totally broken. Last year, I was allocated 12 bottles, and gladly ordered all of them (at $10 per bottle less than this year). I never expected this large of an allocation.

Sorry, Eric. I already ordered. Maybe JimmyV and WIML can help. Plus... it's very difficult to ship out of the aboriginal state of PA!!!

Fair 'nuff Bud, just a suggestion, I wasn't thinking of myself anyhow. BTW, I think the system works like that are similar - if you decide you want the rest of your allocation before the deadline you can go back in an order the balance, or any part thereof.

I didn't get allocation this time again. I put wish-order but doubt I can get any single bottle. I hate waiting for my wish-list order fulfilled and get frustrated for nothing, just like this spring. If anyone can share allocation, please PM me.
