All are 2005, except the viogner, which is an '06
Chardonney clare, chloe or isobel @ $60
Pinots aiden @ $74, ryan @ $76, Finn @ $80
Syrahs Jack Roberts Run @ $70, eddies patch @$76
Viogner lia @ $49

Among these, I was "allocated" 6 bttls, 1 each isobel and chloe, aiden and finn, and both syrahs.  Although the prices leave me on edge, I happen to love these wines, and have found them exceptionally pure and balanced.  While I'm not in favor of buying a lot of single bottles, Kerry has been great about trying to give me multiples of what I prefer.  The accompanying letter indicates that they now have a wait-list into 2009.   Still a buyer.

I decided that if they didn't get any feedback, things would never change.  So, I told them that I was only interested in the Pinot but if I could have only one bottle to sell it to someone else instead.  Yes, it is good juice, but there are many others to choose from.

Bravo Bob.

I will no longer buy from any winery that allocates me one bottle of any one wine. Buying one bottle is just pointless and there is too much good wine out there to bother with that scenario.

I don't mind onesies of anything. If DuMOL allocates 1 bottle of each to me, I will buy 1 bottle of each but I have always been successful in asking for more of a particular bottling or two with them.

I remember being offered only one Harlan in the beginning, didn't bother me a bit. I am not comparing DuMOL to Harlan, but for me one bottle of something very good is better than zero bottles.  Plus it's a lot cheaper!

at least with Harlan, your allocation generally increases. With DuMOL, despite buying everything, my allocation kept decreasing year after year. no credit for being a loyal customer. hopefully, you will get my bottle :-)

I happen to like DuMol pinots.  In fact, a lot.  Just not enough to continue to put up with their allocation policies.  The good news is that they are very willing to discuss their allocation policies with interested customers.  After I few email exchanges, I finally was able to discern the hidden message that was never stated explicitly -- resistance is futile

Please enjoy my one bottle as well.Â

Well my DuMOL customer service continues to excel. I got the 9 bottle allocation, all singles except 2 of one chard. I asked for a case of all whites, 3 each of chards and 3 viogniers (which I was not even allocated to begin with). I have too many pinots with more on the horizon and I love DuMOL chards. Order accepted. Maybe I am the only DuMOL customer asking for all whites?!
