Received the first Kutch mailer today:

2005 RRV Pinot $39
2006 Sonoma Coast Pinot Rose $15

Allocations are 3 and 2 respectively. Looking forward to trying these at the Freeman party on 2/17!

But the good news is that the full allocation is only going to set me back $150. That I can handle.

Plus a VERY reasonable shipping fee for ground!!!! Thanks, Jamie. I wish more folks ITB would follow this model!

Same here.

I know I have told Jamie that I wanted to buy some. I guess I gotta start following up this kind of conversation with writing. I can't understand why he doesn't remember. Jamie, Tricia and I were standing on this deck up at the top of Oakville Grade with a view of the Valley from Carneros all the way up to Calistoga with not a cloud in the sky and drinking a 1985 Dunn Howell Mountain. He must have been thinking about the view.

Eric and David,

Jamie will be pouring his wines at the Freeman caves dinner on 2/17, so you'll at least get to try them there. Who knows...maybe you can wrestle a bottle or two from him then!

It is actually one of the few wines I was able to taste at Pinot Days last year too. It's good

Just rec'd this year's card:

"It is with great disappointment that I am unable to offer you some of my 2006 vintage of Pinot Noir. Shortly after harvest, I made the difficult decision to sell unfinished wine in barrels from a newly explored vineyard site. I found teh character of the wine was not unique. While this choice decreased my production 30%, I believe high quality was maintained. Inevitabley, with the loss of production there is less wine to offer, and for this I apologize."

This is probably the only mailer I am on that actually other people are on the waitlist for.

Allocations are probably different for everyone. Jamie offers Mags at exactly 2Xs the 750 price which I think is great.

Too bad no McDougall Mag for me.
