i like this champagne & i took 6 bottles to a business dinner last month where it was served to a group who normally drink grocery store sparklers & they were blown away. i felt good about not bringing anything substantialy better.

Had a Gaston Chiquet 1998 Special Club the other night that was tasty. Anyone had much experience with Special Club bottlings? Also, anyone tried the 2002 Taittinger Comtes Rose?

Also, anyone tried the 2002 Taittinger Comtes Rose? But of course! WIML and I have both tried and bought some. I haven't done a TN on it but it is very good, about 93 pts from me. It is very lush right now but has underlying structure to last. I've considered buying more even at ~$120+. Probably the best vintage Rose for the price right now.
