Just FYI, there's a shop in Rehoboth Beach that has some 1997 BV Tapestry if you're looking. Supposedly they got it straight from the winery.

$59.99 per

Well TJ, if you bought some, I won't have to share.

That's too much for that wine.

That's what I was going to say. I've had about 8 bottles and never thought it tasted like something that would cost over $20.

The bottles I bought (way back when) were in the low $30s.

That price is very competative for this area. I've seen them as high as $95 and they average in the mid $60s. Personally I love the wine, but bought it upon release at $29. I have two left and they are still going strong.

Mid $60s (and even up to $95) for the Tapestry? I've never seen it priced as high as $95 - that's robbery.

I wouldn't be a buyer at $60.

I thought about buying it, maybe a single, just to try it out again. But all of my bottles were bought in the mid 30s I believe and are all gone. I remember I bought another bottle for a friend as a gift and coughed up $49 or $55 for it but figured what the heck, I wanted the guy to try the wine.

But yeah, $60 is too rich for that wine.

I ordered a bottle off a restaurant wine list for $45 and bought 2 at $30 - $35 and they are long gone. I think $30 - $35 was about right for that wine.
I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland.

I'm not saying I'd pay $60, just that they have gone for that in the Montgomery County MD area, especially a couple of years ago when the hype about them was so high. Of course, they aren't getting that for anything except the '97s. And TJ, I'll be glad to share one with you sometime since I think there are a couple still in the back of the cellar somewhere.
