| Daniel Posner (a VC member) atGrapes the Wine Company sends out some of the most tempting email around with a good selection of wines.
I'm sure Ojeffso and others can add more on their experiences with GTWC.

| | grapes is basically the only internet store i purchase from. occassionally i even visit the store. i like the hands on service i receive from daniel and his ability to procure european wines at excellent prices. if you talk to daniel and become a good customer, his combination of price and service is unbeatable. he also stands behind his pre-arrivals. | | | |

| | Sorry, been out of the loop (wrapping holiday orders for what seemed like years), thanks for all the positive feedback, always appreciated and never necessary. Happy holidays to all! | | | |

| I don't want to embarrass Dan Posner, but ... I had never ordered from Dan before. The following is a summarized description of my very first order with him.
I ordered a case of 1990 Benedict Loosen Riesling. Half Spatlese, half Auslese. Although I was in no particular hurry to get the wine, Dan wound up feeling bad because a few weeks went by from the time I ordered until he shippped.
December was an odd month for me. I ordered so much wine from so many locations, along with other items that apparently seemed "unusual", that my credit card company put the security clamp on my account. By the time Dan's folks tried to process a charge, it was denied.
So, it comes time to ship. His folks didn't ship on Monday as instructed because the credit card was denied and the WINE WASN'T PAID FOR. Tuesday came & went. Wednesday comes, Dan sees my wine is still around, so he has them send it 2nd Day (rather than Ground, as I'd originally requested). THE WINE STILL ISN'T PAID FOR.
The wine showed up in great shape on Friday -- at an upgraded delivery service, and STILL NOT PAID FOR. He's planning on processing a charge sometime early next week, now that I've gotten my credit card situation straightened out.
Dan never once played the angle of "here's what I'm doing for you", or "what are you going to do for me". I even offered to split the difference in shipping costs with him (after the wine showed up and I figured what he had done), but he's taking full responsibility for a delay that didn't even bother me.
Talk about a class act! Dan was recommended to me by ojeffso, whom I ALWAYS trust when it comes to wine and wine sources, but I never expected an experience like this.
I'll definitely be a repeat customer. | | Cheers, y'all

| Thanks Stephen for the kind words, the original mistake was mine so I owned up to it and promised your wine before New Year's. I figured if you did not pay, I could charge Jeff's card | | | |

| Daniel has the NV Yalumba 50-Year Old Tawny for $43.99 per 375.
WA 98
You have to buy 6 bottles to get this price. All I want/need is 3. Any one wanna go in on this with me. I heard some good things about it. I think RandyW loves this wine. Please let me know.
...also, I posted a TN Request in the TN Request section.
