i just bought a case of this wine at $27 a bottle. it is rated 93 points by robert parker and tends to be a very consistent wine. i may still be able to get more. if any locals are interested let me know. the bottles were in excellent shape with good fills.

btw, distributors are starting to dump older recent vintages.

I have had a mini-vertical of this over the last 3-4 months. The 96 is very good and well worth the $27.

Here are my notes: Profound notes of sweet tobacco, pepper, herbs, and ripe fruit could be detected. The tannins are sweet and chewy, and noticibly more intense and acidic than the '99. Ripe black cherries and spicey oak dominate the super finish. 92+

Everyone at a WS offline Chicago dinner gave this over 92 pts. Otisabdul gave it a 93.

BUY!
