| 2003 Harlan Estate has increased in price to $265 per 750 and $580 per magnum. For the 2002 vintage, the 750s were $245 and the magnums were $540.
2002 The Maiden remains at $95 per bottle.

| I think I purchased my last Harlan Estate with the 02. I just find it very hard to pay $300.00/bottle of wine. If any one wants my allocation, let me know. | | | |

| Wow! I'll have to think long and hard about buying that one. I wonder if the allocations will be more than 1 bottle. Sure wish someone had TNs on this. Not that I go by WS ratings, but $265 for a 92 point wine...... | | | |

| People are chomping at the bit to buy unwanted allocations on squires board so I am sure if you get some it will be easy to get your money back and maybee a few bucks more. | | | |

Tanzer barrel scored it 94-97, which, as everyone knows, is pretty strong for him.

| Wouldn't normally post this, but given the new painful price point (ouch!!!), for those interested in an additional data point, Tanzer - who loves Harlan (it was his highest rated CA cab for both '01 (96 pts.) and '02 (98+ pts.)) - gave the '03 barrel sample 94-97 pts. with the following comments:
"Knockout nose combines black raspberry, Tellicherry pepper, musky tobacco and a floral topnote. Hugely concentrated and broad, with slightly lower-toned and less sweet flavors than the incredible 2002. Deep black fruit flavors are complicated by saline and minty nuances. Finishes with big, youthfully rough tannins that should be further refined during the wine's last 9 or 10 mont hs in barrel."
FYI, he gave the '03 Maiden 90-92 pts.

| Yet another case where Parker is hopelessly behind the curve. FWIW, I'll be buying all I can.. again I'd expect 2-3 bottles estate, 6 bottles maiden. I don't know if they ever allow any individual to buy more than a six pack. I just had the 01 maiden. OMG. That is why they get these prices. Even at these stratopheric levels... it makes more sense than Peter Michael. | | | |

| I am pretty sure that by the time that I get allocated any of these wines I will be able to afford them. I've got my Lotto ticket strategy working for me in the interim. | | | |

| I know the both of these wines will very good, if not great, but how high is high enough? Pretty soon, all the allocations will be one bottle of the Estate due to the $400.00 price tag in a few years. It has gone up $10.00 to $20.00 every vintage. | | | "Why Keep Score if you are not going to play by the rules?" | |

| I didn't get the Estate mailer, even though last year they said I would. Got the Maiden mailer. Will try to buy 6.

| I have not tasted the 2003 Harlan Estate. I plan on getting some more information about the 2003 the weekend after Labor Day but regardless I plan on buying my full allocation. | | | |

| I'm looking forward to seeing if I get allocated any Estate, I don't think I will, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The mailer should be here in NY in the next day or two. | | | |
