| I'm on the Kosta Browne "List of Designates" (i.e., early mailing list members) and received my offer for the 2003 vineyard designates today (Kanzler, Cohn, and Koplen).
The good news: price is still $48 per and they're discounting shipping.
The bad news: I was only allocated two bottles of each.
Despite being a long tenured member of the Kosta Browne list, my purchases haven't been too large. Curious where others in the "List of Designates" are offered more. | | |

| Oh boy. The beginning of the Tour de France and the possibility of my designates mailer should make for an antsy morning. | | | |

| Did this come via email or regular mail. That is a shame about the low allocation amounts. I don't think that I will fare any better. | | | |

| SFWine,
Unless you are worried about future allocations (I don't know how their list works in that regard) I would consider skipping the Cohn. It isn't bad -- I would say it is about the same quality as the regular Russian River bottling, maybe slightly more structured, but the other two are much better, imo.

| Interesting. I thought there was going to be a fourth vineyard this year (was it Amber Ridge?). Perhaps I was mistaken. No mailer here in the East yet. | | | |

| The Amber Ridge is part of the blend for the 2003 RRV and Sonoma Coast appellation pinots. I think they plan to bottle a vineyard designate in 2004.

| I'll let you know when I get it in the mail. Strange. I wasn't expecting this mailer for at least another month. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| I got allocated six in total as well SFWine. I'm buying them all. They are a definite step up over the larger area cuvees. | | | |

| Well this certainly helped soften the blow of my Turley letter thanking me for waiting. I had hoped that there might be a small allocation hidden away in there. Back to Kosta, I wonder if the January offering will be allocated so tightly? I am going to fax my order in on Monday. | | | |

| I haven't gotten mine yet!!! I hope it didn't get lost in the mail!
Now I have to wait until Tuesday....yikes!
Two bottle allocations is bad.....there were no allocations at all for the 4-Barrel....just order whatever you want! The price of success.
