| I have been buying wine each month for a coworker who is building a collection from scratch.
For his December purchase, he wants a California Cabernet / Merlot / Blend that is a 95+ pointer and is less than $100.
I'm trying to do this at retail and so far my only idea so far is the '99 Verite La Muse (RP96).

| STW, I can secure some of the Cinq Cepages for $55 for you, but the Cinq Cepage is Cabernet Sauvignon (76%), Merlot (10%), Cabernet Franc (8%), Malbec (4%), and Petit Verdot (2%). In addition to that the 1997 Insignia (as you saw) is still available for $95 up here, although I am not sure of the Merlot content.

Any chance of locating some '99 Dalla Valle cab? WS 95 and $100 on release according the web site.

| The 99 Dalla Valle ROCKS!! and can be had for $100-$110 all over California. Call St. Helena Wine Center. I saw it there yesterday for $110.
