If it was out someone definately would have posted something. I think someone who went to the NYC offline with Mark and Grove said it would be out in the next week or 2.

Mark, can you tell us what you decided regarding how to allocate the wines? Or do we just need to hold in suspense until the mailer arrives?

Will you hold my allocation if I wait to send it in until the very last possible moment?

Eric

Thanks for the break. I will sign the release letters later. I have not finalized the allocation on the 2002 Vineyard Designate Sets yet. I will hold the each customers allocation on this set only until the end of this month.

However, (there is always a "however") I do have a very short list of wines that will be on a "first come first served bases". The following wines are on the is list:

1) 2001 mix set Vineyard Designates 750's and 1.5L.
2) 2002 mix set Vineyard Designates in 1.5L format, one bottle from each vineyard.
3) PS
4) After purchasing one mix set, customers could purchase if they like one or two bottles from each of the individual vineyards except from “One Lane Bridge”.

mark,

is this offering coming via email or snail? if snail then i guess us east coasters will miss out of the 1st come 1st serve ones? i don't mean to complain but if it comes snail mail isn't there a slightly better way to do this? like send all the mailers out on a monday and then set a date on the mailer 10 days from then that the mailer actually will become active. this way everyone has a fair crack at the limited wines. just a thought.

The Vineyard Designate Mix Set is in 750's. I listed the short list of wines that are extremely limited that is first come first serve bases.

As far as the mailings, we will mail all central, east coast and over seas a few days ahead. Our last two mailing have been that way. However, I like your idea.

mark,

i was just trying to think of some way to make it work. sort of like handing out all the tests one at a time then having having everyone flip them over all together to start. geez, that made me think of highschool...i can't believe i actually remember anything from those days

It's so great to hear that Mark actually has thought about the delay in mailing times to the East Coast. I am very excited about this next release especially the expanded single vinyard designate sets. I've had 2 bottles of the Second Chance and although "young" are fantastic. I also was able to find some of the 2002 Zin on the open market and I only wish I would have bought a case when I bought the 2001 SVD's. I will definitely buy some of the PS and maybe even the mag SVD's. Please keep me posted if anyone receives the mailer so I will know to be looking out for it!

Scravis - first welcome to VC! Where are you on the East Coast?

Believe me, as soon as anyone here gets the Neal mailer it will be posted within minutes of receipt.

Scravis - welcome. Post often. As Prosp asked, whereabouts on the not-so-small East Coast?

I'm in Philadelphia so therefore spend mucho $$$ for double shipping, but in the end I think it's worth it.
