| I saw this today for $49.99. I don't know Burgundy too well yet so figured I'd ask my resident team of experts.
All - Is this enough info or do I need to take a closer look at the label? Is this a good price?
j b / ojeffso2 / - You guys enjoyed some Arnoux bottling but I don't remember which. Any chance this was it?

| Arnoux is a quality producer currently imported into the US by Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant in Berkeley. However, this Arnoux bottling was probably brought in by another importer (this is an important question because only a few quality minded importers use reefers to bring in red Burgundy - a must imo).
Based on what you have written, this is a villages level Vosne Romanee. Arnoux's best wines are the exorbitantly priced Romanee St Vivant and Vosne Romanee Les Suchots (which many commentators claim remind them of lower level DRC bottlings). Arnoux does not make a bad wine - even his Bourgogne in good vintages is worth a look. 93 was a very good year but I do not remember tasting a VR AOC by Arnoux.
In my experience Arnoux's wines age surprisingly well. I still remember a blended premier cru VR from Arnoux vintage 1978 that tasted great, alive, and vibrant in 96.
Buying any wine seven years post its release is always fraught with risk. The fact that this wine is a relatively fragile VR only magnifies the risk imo.

| The wine we had was the '93 Arnoux Clos Vougout and it was spectacular. 97pts from me, 95 from ojeffso, I believe. Jones is correct, as you are describing a village wine. I would be leary of a village wine from '93 that is still on the shelf. At any rate, if you do buy, don't hold it. Village wines don't need any more time than this.
