| | Still hooked on the Intelligentsia Black Cat Espresso blend. My big news is that I finally have a grinder that is up to the task. Now if I can just figure out how to use it. | | | |

| | LCC, I finally broke down and bought a Mazzer mini grinder. The Virtuoso just grinds French Press nowadays. | | | |

| | That's a great move, Dave. Mazzer Mini is a great one, hard to beat that beauty. A serious coffee geek should have a dedicated grinder for Espesso & Espresso-type drinks. And, a separate grinder for all other types of coffee(s). Good move Dave! A friend of mine has the exact same setup. |

| Just bought some beens from Sweet Marias.
5 lbs of Guatemala Chimeltenango - San Jose Ocana (love guatemala!)
2lbs Nicaragua FTO Esteli - Miraflor Coop (drinking this right now... gorgeous cup)
5lbs SM's Moka Kadir Blend (great blend, third time buying it, so figured I'd go big)
2lbs SM's Puro Scuro Blend (another great blend, especially for those times when I want a good thick cup of coffee) | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| Too much while in Denmark. Time & time again, pretty much the rest of the world is so far ahead of us when it comes to coffee, it is embarrassing actually. Very good coffee just about everything in Denmark. Some better than others, but all pretty good to very good. | | | |

| I'm just finishing up the last of my Kenya "Wagumuga" which I purchased from JavaJ in Roseville, CA. About every 2 weeks I buy something different, usually based upon JavaJ's recommendations, combined with what is fresh from the roaster.
We have a wine tasting group that usually meets once a month in Sacramento... And, for the past 3 months in a row, JavaJ has arrived late in the evening, providing us with several freshly brewed coffees to wrap up the evening.
I suspect that JavaJ has made customers out of at least 1/2 of the members of our tasting group.

| | Nicaragua Placeras Estate Miel from Sweet Marias... in my new Technivorm Moccamaster CD. Ridiculously good. I'm half tempted to funnel the wine budget into a coffee roaster now. That good. | | | |

| | Thanks a pantload, LCC. Makes my $13 pound of Queen City blend from Caffe Vittia this morning look all the more expensive. Did I mention the two gallons of gas I used to drive from Sammamish to Capitol Hill at 7:00 AM? | | | |

| Definitely in a slump.....
Last stuff I tried that made me want to brew another batch was some very nice Yemen beans - I think the Mocha Harrar that is also from Ethiopia. Haven't been back to that particular store - a coffee shop in Peddlers' Village, Pa near New Hope - in a few months....
