I've been drinking this local roasters coffee. This particular one is called Thunder Mountain....not for the faint of heart.

I've been hooked on a local roaster as well - "Willow Glen Blend." Mix of different beans, no clue which ones, but I'm really liking this stuff.

The Rocket Scientist has been bringing me back an espresso blend from an organic grocery in Tampa called "Wild Oats." It's nicely rich and heady.

Intelligentsia Quetzal Breakfast Blend - I'm finding I like Intelligentsia stuff a lot more, but not sure I like paying the mark-up. Hoping I can find a local roaster around here somewhere...

Sex, Drugs, Rock n' Roll and COFFEE, Guitar legend is more than a
Jolt of electric guitar, it is a jolt of ESPRESSO.

It was 1968 and Jimi was back in Seattle to do a show in Vancouver. Jimi had just bought dad a new 1968 Chevy Malibu and asked us to go to the show. On the way we were all getting hungry so we decided to stop by Denny's. We walked in, sat down and waited for a waitress. Of course from the moment we walked in all eyes were looking at us...except for the waitress. We sat and watched while others were being served all around us. Jimi never complained. During the waiting time a young girl appeared at the table and asked Jimi for his autograph. Jimi smiled and graciously signed his autograph for the young girl. Meanwhile it seemed that the whole restaurant had gathered at our table. It seem to be a good hour before the manager came and ask if there was anything that he could get for us; Jimi replied; "yes, a CUP OF COFFEE would be nice".

We are proud to announce the launching of the HENDRIX BROTHERS' COFFEE a joint venture with BLACK DOT COFFEE as a part of Legends of Music series. This coffee venture is the first of its kind. We have spared nothing in creating the greatest coffee experience for you, with three distinctive 100% Arabica coffee flavors to choose from;

"KISS THE SKY" is our flagship espresso roast.
A northern Italian style with a sweet smooth caramel finish, heavy bodied, sweet brew with a thick crema and an intense, distinctive flavor profile.

"HEY JOE"
A smooth espresso; one of the best morning brews you will ever have.
Both a great drip blend and a strong espresso with a rich flavor profile of only the finest beans in the world.

"AMBROSIA"
This is a great French roast, dark and strong with a hint of spice.

To taste is everything, so feel free to contact us for a FREE sample and more information about our coffee.

A portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated to the Jimmy Hendrix foundation.

To revive this thread a little bit... I've been tasting through an 8 pack sampler that came with my new coffee roaster...

All from Sweet Marias

Costa Rica Pulp Natural - La Candelilla
Mexico FTO Chiapas - Special Lot - Fair Trade Certified and USDA Organic
Guatemala Quiche - La Perla Estate
Peru Norte Especial
Nicaragua Limoncillo Estate Var. Java

I just roasted up some Congo Kivu Peaberry that I'll try out tomorrow.

One of my favorites still remains the Sumatra Iskandar Triple-Pick...  this stuff is good coffee!

I went to Panama this weekend.... really enjoying the trip.

Panama Organic Los Lajones - little under City+ Â

Very nice....  french press with a little more bean than usual and you'll have a great cup.

My friend has me hooked on Coffee-Milk-Tea - sounds bizarre if you have never had it but it is great if you get it at the right place. It's one of those boba drinks (like tapioca gel at the bottom) you get at Lollicup but I think Lollicup's are terrible.

The ones at Zodiac in Sacramento are so good I sometimes skip lunch to get one.

I picked up some Hawiian Kona recently and discovered I really am not a fan.  Not sure why it just doesn't do it for me.

I've noticed with the Kona I roast, I typically have to put more coffee in the grinder than usual to get rid of the bitterness. Once I do, it's a fantastic cup of coffee...

Which one?  Details please.  Could make a huge difference.  I buy 100% Peaberry from Bong Brothers.  My favorite coffee.
