From a 2 day Anniversary Party last month

What a very interesting nose of flowers, wilted Hibiscus and Plumeria, along with a touch of resin and petrol. The fruit is still clinging with citrus notes of pomelo, grapefruit and lime blossoms. It also had a touch of spicy earthiness that is quite unique in a sense because this wine sees no new oak. The palate is bone dry and medium bodied at best but with intense flavor. Much of the citrus comes out to play, with superb acidity, hints of petrol and lanolin, a touch of cola nut and a tremendously long finish on the citrus peels. Not from a great vintage but shows just how well Rieslings can age. I think it ready to drink and maybe would have even liked to have drunk it a few years sooner

You may be right about this wine's age. I had an '89 Clos St. Hune VV earlier this year and it seemed to be at its peak. It was superb.

Oh, and shouldn't this be in the other french section? Can one of the Mods move this?
