Purchased at $7 this is an excellent value by a not so well known producer from Pfalz.

This wine had a nice peachy aroma with a caramelly background that I found uncharacteristic of a Riesling Kabinett yet very pleasant. Mostly tart apple flavors with lemony acidity that balanced out any sweetness. Very light body with a clean mouthfeel once the initial spritz wore off after a minute or two.

If there was one drawback that stood out it was the rather persistent aftertaste of grapefruit at the end. I like that flavor myself and I look for it in my Rieslings but I can see how it can turn many people off.

All in all, this is an outstanding QPR. Best $7 bottle in recent memory for me. I ordered one more case before I even finished the bottle.
