| 2000 Weingut Max Ferd. Richter Riesling Braunberger Juffer Spatlese -- pale gold color; beautifully floral, sweet nose; fairly soft texture, lacking uplifting acidity, but delicious off-dry flavors of apple, green grape, honey, and mineral; medium to long finish. Very forward, drinking nicely today. App. 87-8 pts. And only 7% alcohol makes it easy to serve as a luncheon wine (or breakfast, depending on your inclination and work schedule).
I'm looking forward to the 2001 of this wine. Buttress the acidity, and the 2000 would be excellent. | | | |
