Do you mean food? I never drink wine with food. I tried it about 30 years ago, decided it didn't really work, and ever since I've only ever drank wine on it's own, well after a meal (except sometimes for a piece of cheese). Basically I do this to get the maximum taste of the wine that I can, and at best food tends to mask it. Apparently this was the normal way of drinking German wine, until the trend for Trocken and Halb-Trocken wines started in the very early eighties. This probably explains why I've never taken to French or Italian wines. | | | |
