Wine is a pale lemon color with a somewhat watery rim. Bold nose of white peaches and slate. Medium bodied with crisp acidity and intense peach and smoke notes. Moderate to long finish. Well done. jb Rating 88pts.

If you ever see the auslese* or the auslese** of this, buy all you can. I'll take them all of your hands.

I have never seen the Auslese, but I have tried the Spatlese and it was a step from this one, which I enjoyed quite a bit. I'll keep my eyes open, but at this point, it would be hard to find any retail.

I found some of the Auslese but GATC is talking super secret stuff with the * or the **. Maybe a tasting on this one soon...

Had the spatlese at dinner last night - very nice.

I think the hype on eBob made sure the Auslese** was gobbled up quickly. I was able to buy 4 of the auslese* in Germany and opened up one at the restaurant (who also owned the wine store). Great stuff. Selbach Oster is very solid and probably a little underrated.
