Tasted May 21, 2006 at home. 11.5% alcohol. Stelvin closure. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass. Light hay color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of whetstone and peach dominate with tiny notes of passion fruit, pear and apricot. Flavors of peach, kiwi and grapefruit. Crisp acidity with clean fruit. Plenty of nuances on the nose and palate here but there is an overriding "simplicity" about this wine that prevents it from approacing the next level in my opinion. I'd go ahead and drink it over the next year or two. If it improves any in bottle then continue to hold but currently I see no reason why this bottle shouldn't be consumed over the short term. Based on the $20.49 price per bottle I paid at Central Market Fort Worth I'd say the value here is unacceptable. (85 pts.)
