Medium nose of minerals, wet stones, citrus, peach, red berries and smoke. Medium minus body, medium plus intensity and medium plus acidity. Citrus, orchard fruits, smoke, stones and red berry follow through on the palate, seemingly high Spatlese than Kabinett but nice.

Do you have a sense of what might lie ahead for this wine? Any reason to lay this down?

Thanks, incident.

Pretty much everything Donnhoff makes ages well. Even the Estate QbA has a good 5-10 years in it. That said, I do not really advocate laying down the Estate QbA or Leistenberg Kabinett. I find that the kabinett gets overly herbal with cellar time, without a lot of positive devleopment.

Now as for Donnhoff spatlese...that's another matter. But you'll have to look in that therad for the answer.
