8%. Pale yellow-white. This wine oozes class and polish. Nose of mandarin, ripe pear, litchi, honey and sweet edelweiss flowers. Smooth and viscous on the palate yet bright and clear. Sweet and balanced with plump acidity. Finishes with all the intricacy of fruit and mineral interaction that one can dream of. Phyll's score: 94pts Got only six more 750ml bottles. Wondering if they will last for 15+ years in my 58F cellar...

Glad you like the Weil. I've had many at tastings and thought they were good, but never thought they were worth the price. I have the same problem with Muller and Schaeffer.

GATC, what do you think about the ageability of this wine? I agree that Weil, Muller Catoir, and Willi Schaefer are quite pricey. I grab as many as I could if and when I find them for a song.

I don't know anything about that wine. I made sure that the 2003's that I bought had enough acid to age like other years, but many that I have tried to not appear to have that. They to make great wines so I would think that they would age like normal years.
