| I've had this wine 2 or 3 times and completely agree with this note.

| | Pale straw with lots of green hints, starbright. Medium intense nose of slate, minerals, peach, tea, pear and nectarines. Medium body, medium plus concentration and medium acidity. Nose follows through, great complexity and balance. 93pts. | | | |

| IIRC I bought a lot of this since it was highly recommended. Seems like I buy 70% Christoffel and 30% of others (consisting mainly of Muller-Catoir, Selbach-Oster, Donnhoff, Fritz Haag (if I can get it), Darting (Durkheimer Nonnengarten rieslaner).
I really enjoyed this wine 2 of the 3 times. The 3rd time the acid seemed to overpower. | | | |

| Wow. I would have opened something else for Jason had I known he'd already had this a few times. Ah well...
This was super tight last week but oh so promising. No notes, but this was showing more structure and deliniation than ever. The acidity and sugar were working perfectly with one another to create a balanced palate and long finish. The problem was that the fruit was a bit obscured at this stage. An incredible wine that continues to be my favorite 2003 Spatlese. I'm sad I only bought half a case. I now have to be sparing with my remaining bottles. I'd say this will start to be at its prime in 2009 or 2010. For drinking right now this is still a 92.5 or 93 point wine; For drinking in a few years, 93+

| | I appreciated it. This bottle showed really tight compared to previous bottles I had tried. Lots of structure with the fruit way in the back. May be time to put the M-C 2003's away for a few years. | | | |
